Audit from £250, credited against the work

What's included

What I fix

Site Takeover & Ownership

Full ownership of the existing Wix site, no matter who built it or how it was left.

Diagnosis & Fix

Exactly what is broken, slow or missing, fixed without a full rebuild if one isn't needed.

Targeted Rebuilds

Where sections genuinely aren't working, I rebuild just those, not the whole site.

Ongoing Management

Once it's fixed, I can manage it going forward so it doesn't end up abandoned again.

How I work

A straightforward process

Access & Audit

A full audit of what's broken, outdated or fine.

Honest Assessment

A quick fix, partial rebuild, or a fresh start, and what each costs.

Fix or Rebuild

Exactly what's needed, nothing more.

Handover & Support

A working site back, plus ongoing support.

Why Wix sites get abandoned

Most broken Wix sites weren't built badly, they were left. A designer moves on, a freelancer stops replying, or a business owner runs out of time to keep it working. Nobody set out to leave it broken; it just stopped being anyone's job.

Fix, rebuild, or start again

Not every rescue needs a rebuild, and I don't default to one because it's the bigger job. If the foundations are sound, I fix what's broken; a full rebuild only happens when patching would cost more than starting clean, and I'll say so plainly either way.

Who needs a Wix Rescue

Get in touch if

Your designer has stopped replying and the site is unfinished

You inherited a site nobody in the business understands

Something important is broken and you don't know who to ask

Enquiry forms are not arriving and you may be losing leads

You cannot get into your own Wix account or domain registrar

A different service fits if

×The site is fine and you just want it to rank better: that's Wix SEO

×You want a fresh start, not a repair: that's a new Wix Studio build

×The site isn't on Wix: ask anyway, we'll point you somewhere useful

What it costs

Quoted after a paid audit

Nobody can price a fix honestly before seeing what's wrong. The audit is £250 and comes off the cost of the work if you proceed. Some sites need a few hours; sometimes rebuilding costs less than repairing, and I'll say so either way.

Quoting blind means padding the price to cover the unknown, or discovering problems later and asking for more money. Neither is fair, and once I know what I'm dealing with, you get a fixed price.

The decision

Repair the site or rebuild it?

As a rule of thumb, if repairing would cost more than about 60% of a rebuild, from £800, rebuilding usually wins on a clean foundation.

Common mistakes

How Wix projects end up needing rescuing

1

Built in the designer's own account

If the account and domain belong to whoever built it, you don't own your web presence.

2

Nobody checked the enquiry form

Forms fail quietly; businesses discover they've lost weeks of enquiries.

3

The project stopped at 90%

Titles, redirects and final fixes never arrive once payment is made.

4

Custom code lost on republish

Structured data can vanish silently. Rankings drift and nobody connects the two.

How long it takes

How quickly I can pick up a stalled site

The audit takes three to five working days from getting account access, which is often the hardest part when the previous developer has gone quiet. Most rescue work is then completed within one to three weeks of the quote being agreed, urgent fixes first.

Days one to two

Access

Usually the hardest part, particularly when the previous developer is unresponsive. I will talk you through recovering ownership of a Wix account and domain.

Days three to five

Assessment

What is built, what is broken, what is missing, what is costing you money right now. In writing, in plain English, with a fixed price attached.

Week one to two

Urgent fixes

Anything actively harming the business goes first: a site that is down, forms not delivering enquiries, checkout failing, pages missing from Google.

Week two to three

Finish the job

The remaining work to get the site to a state that is finished, maintainable and genuinely yours.

After launch

Once your site is rescued

The first thing I sort out, and often the most valuable, is ownership: account in your name, domain in your name, billing under your control. Once that is done you cannot end up in this position again, whoever you work with next.

You also get a written record of what I found and what I did. Businesses arriving from a failed project usually have no documentation at all, which is part of why they are stuck; if you later work with someone else, they can pick it up in an afternoon instead of charging you to rediscover it.

After the 30 days of included support, there is no obligation to stay: plenty of rescue clients go on to have me build them a new site, plenty take the working site and manage it themselves, and both are fine. The point of the service is that you end up in control, not dependent on me instead.

Questions

Wix Rescue FAQs

I don't know who built my site, can you still help?+

Usually, yes. I can often help you regain access or advise on next steps even without existing login details.

Is it cheaper to fix than start again?+

Often, yes, if the foundations are sound. I'll tell you honestly which option makes more sense rather than pushing a rebuild you don't need.

What if it's on Wix Editor, not Studio?+

I work with both, though I may recommend migrating to Studio if it suits your goals better.

Can you manage it afterwards?+

Yes. I offer monthly maintenance plans so your site doesn't end up neglected again.

How quickly can you assess it?+

Usually within a few days of getting access, I'll come back with a clear diagnosis and cost.
