What this audit checks, and why each part matters
What does an SEO audit actually check?
It checks whether a search engine can reach your page, read it, and work out what it is about. This audit runs 40-odd checks across five areas: technical setup, on-page tags, the content itself, structured data, and whether AI answer engines can use the page.
What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?
The same question asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI overviews rather than a list of blue links. They either name you or they do not, which depends on things classic SEO never had to care about: a plain first-screen statement of who you are, questions phrased the way people ask them, and short quotable answers.
Why does structured data matter so much?
A machine-readable description of your business inside your page. Broken structured data is worse than none: if it doesn't parse, Google discards the whole block silently. This audit checks that every block actually validates.
How fast should a website load?
Main content within 2.5 seconds, taps answered within 200ms, no layout shift while loading: Google's own thresholds. This tool measures server response time and HTML weight instead; for the full three, use Google's free PageSpeed Insights.
What should I fix first?
Anything marked critical, in the order the report lists them. Indexability first, then title and meta description, then structured data, then content. There is no prize for a perfect score, only for being findable.
Is this audit really free, and what happens to my data?
Yes, no account. An email address is only needed for the full report with every fix written out, and you're told before you give it. We store a one-way hash of your IP for fair usage, never the address itself. Full detail in the privacy policy.
